My Personal Growth As A Blogger

Looking back, it was more than ten years already since I started my journey to blogging. This blog, www.therainbowstar.net was my very first blog which has a domain and a hosting. It was bought last February 19, 2011 by a good friend of mine.

She already owned many blogs with different niche during that time then we are just having a conversation about blog then I shared to her that I also owned a blog when I was in high school. I really don’t considered it as a blog because it was just an online diary for me where I share my experienced. The only thing before is that the readers doesn’t know who is behind the blog. As our conversation goes, she told me if I wanted to have my blog with a domain and a host. She will set up everything so I don’t need to worry about anything. To make the story short, the rainbow star was a gift to me by my friend.

Similar to how blogger Amanda LaCount, began her blogging experience, she just started her blog as a simple recipe blog where she wants to share recipe and her interest. For me, at the beginning, this blog was just a personal blog also, like an online diary when I was in highschool. But as time goes by, a lot of good opportunities opened to me because of blogging.

I started accepting paid post, banner placement and any advertisement that is not harmful to anyone. I started accepting $5 guest post until it become higher. Since there are lot of Direct Advertisers wants to advertise on my blog, I need boost my marketing. Since I didn’t know marketing before also had a mistakes that is why I read and search online on how to boost my marketing. before Of course, as a blogger I want to gave them the best results. Aside from online advertising, I also started accepting media event where I need to go to the event to cover it then write an article here in my blog about it.

In the past ten years, I have seen and experienced a lot of changes in my life and in me. Through attending event, I get to know a lot of other bloggers and PRs who became my friend not just online but in real life. I also faced my shyness towards other people. As you know, I’m a very shy type of person that is why I don’t usually go out. Through blogging, somehow, I was a able to provide financially to my daughter.

Being a blogger is fun and a wonderful experience for me because I can share my life experiences and I can also share latest news around the world. I’m very thankful to all my readers because even though I’m not really good at english, they are still there reading my articles and content, sharing it to their social media accounts and even commenting to it. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate all the readers who support me from day one until now.

Aside from that, I am also very thankful to all the PRs and brand who believe in me. I am also grateful to my daughter who is my inspiration and strength in everything I do. Lastly, I’m very grateful to the Lord who gave me all the blessings that I have now.
